Terms governing our car rental service.

Car Rental Terms and Conditions. -These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between the Lessor and the Renter for every vehicle rented through rentcardb. By confirming a reservation, the Renter declares that they have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions. Failure to appear within 2 hours from the scheduled pickup time without prior notice will result in the automatic cancellation of the reservation and loss of the deposit.

  1. General Provisions These Terms apply to every vehicle rental made through the rentcardb platform or at the Lessor’s physical offices. “Vehicle” refers to the rented vehicle together with its documents, keys, and any additional equipment. A reservation is considered confirmed once the Renter accepts these Terms and completes the required payment. The Lessor reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one published at the moment of reservation.

  2. Rental Requirements *Age and Driving License -The minimum age for the Renter and any additional driver over 18 years old -The driving license must be valid and held for at least 1 year. -Drivers aged between 18–25 years are subject to an additional fee of €8 per day.

Required Documents -At the time of vehicle pickup, the Renter must provide: -A valid original ID card or passport. -A valid original driving license.

*Additional Driver -Any additional driver must be declared in advance and meet the same age and license requirements. Driving the vehicle by undeclared persons constitutes a violation of these Terms.

  1. Reservation and Payment To confirm a reservation, a deposit of 25% of the total rental amount is required. The remaining 75% must be paid according to the selected payment method. All prices are listed in Euro (€). Payment Methods Payments may be made through: -Cash at our offices. -Credit or debit card online. -Bank transfer. -Western Union. -MoneyGram. -Ria. -PayPal.

For payments made via bank transfer or financial platforms, the reservation remains pending until the payment is verified by the Lessor.

*Discounts Based on Rental Duration 7 or more days – 10% discount. 14 or more days – 15% discount. 21 or more days – 20% discount.

*Cancellation by the Renter Cancellation more than 24 hours before vehicle pickup entitles the Renter to a full refund of the deposit. Cancellation less than 24 hours before pickup results in retention of the 25% deposit. Failure to appear without notice within 2 hours from the reservation time results in automatic cancellation and the deposit is non-refundable.

  1. Vehicle Pickup and Return The Renter must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. At pickup and return, a joint vehicle inspection will be carried out and documented in a report signed by both parties. Fuel Policy The vehicle is delivered with a specified fuel level and must be returned with the same level. In case of missing fuel, the Renter will pay for the missing fuel plus a service fee. Vehicle Cleaning The vehicle is delivered clean and must be returned clean. Otherwise, a cleaning fee from €7 to €15 will apply depending on the vehicle type. Late Return Returning the vehicle late without prior agreement will result in a late return fee charged per day or part of the day.

  2. Vehicle Use Authorized Use The vehicle may only be used for personal transportation within the territory of the Republic of Albania unless international travel is authorized in writing by the Lessor.

*Strictly Prohibited: -Driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances. -Handing over the vehicle to unauthorized persons. -Using the vehicle for racing, driving lessons, or illegal activities. -Transporting prohibited goods or exceeding the allowed capacity. -Towing other vehicles without authorization. -Mileage -The standard package includes 200 kilometers per day. -Additional kilometers are charged according to the vehicle category.

  1. Insurance and Coverage TPL insurance is included in every rental at no additional cost. CDW insurance is optional and reduces the Renter’s liability for collision damage. CDW does not cover tires, windows, the underside of the vehicle, or lost keys. Insurance does not cover damages caused by violation of these Terms. In Case of an Accident The Renter must immediately notify the police and the Lessor. No liability may be admitted without authorization from the Lessor. An accident report must be completed and all relevant information preserved.

  2. Damages and Costs The Renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period. All damages will be documented with photos and an official report.

*Estimated Damage Fees -Minor scratch 50-150€ -Broken windshield 150-400€ -Side mirror 60-150€ -Damaged tire 50-200€ -Lost key 100-250€ -Deep cleaning €50 -Upholstery cleaning 100-250€

Major damages are assessed according to the official repair invoice and may vary depending on the vehicle model. Traffic fines, road taxes, and any legal obligations during the rental period are the responsibility of the Renter.

  1. Delays and Breach of Terms Late returns are charged according to the vehicle’s daily rental rate. A delay exceeding 24 hours without notice may be considered a breach of contract and the Lessor reserves the right to take legal action. Failure to comply with the vehicle usage conditions gives the Lessor the right to terminate the rental without refund.

  2. Cancellation by the Lessor The Lessor may cancel the reservation in exceptional cases such as: -Technical failure of the vehicle. -Damage caused by the previous Renter. -Force majeure events.

In such cases, a replacement vehicle of the same category or a full refund will be offered. The Lessor is not responsible for indirect damages beyond the amount paid for the rental.

  1. Personal Data Protection The Lessor collects and processes personal data only for purposes related to reservations, contracts, invoicing, and legal obligations. Personal data is not sold to third parties and is stored in accordance with applicable Albanian legislation. The Renter has the right to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting info@rentcardb.com. By accepting these Terms, the Renter agrees to the processing of personal data according to the privacy policy.

  2. Dispute Resolution Both parties agree to resolve any dispute amicably. If no agreement is reached, the matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Albania. These Terms are governed by Albanian law.

  3. Force Majeure Neither party shall be held responsible for failure to fulfill obligations due to events beyond reasonable control. These include natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental measures, or interruption of essential services. Obligations are suspended for the duration of such events.

  4. Final Provisions If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force. Failure by the Lessor to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of that right. These Terms constitute the complete agreement between the parties.

  5. AutoSOS The service fee starts from €20 up to €200, depending on the issue and the level of assistance required by the client.
